Frequently asked questions
- How do I choose between a car, motorbike, tuk-tuk, minibus, or van?
- Pick by passenger count, distance, weather, and budget. Solo short hops are usually cheapest on a motorbike or tuk-tuk. Commutes, airport runs, and bad-weather journeys default to car. Groups of four or more take a minibus. Luggage-heavy or small-move trips take a van.
- Are prices fixed or metered?
- GeraRide quotes an upfront fare in your local currency before you confirm, with a small surge multiplier visible in advance during peak demand. The driver cannot change the price after accepting the trip.
- Which vehicle types are available in my city?
- Car is available in every GeraRide city. Motorbike, tuk-tuk, minibus, and van availability depends on local regulation and road norms — the app only shows vehicle types allowed in your country. Check each vehicle page for typical city coverage.
