Book a Motorbike Ride

A GeraRide motorbike — known locally as a boda-boda, okada, moto, or habal-habal — is a single-passenger two-wheeler ride built for cutting through dense urban traffic. It is the fastest way to move through gridlocked city centres, usually the cheapest option for short hops, and the most reliable choice during heavy congestion. Riders are dispatched in the same app as cars, are identity-verified, and travel with a passenger helmet. Motorbike fares are quoted up front in your local currency before you confirm the trip.

When to use a motorbike

  • Solo trip across heavy city traffic where a car would crawl
  • Short urban hops between neighbourhoods at low cost
  • Last-mile from a transit hub to your final destination
  • Time-sensitive trip in dense rush-hour conditions
  • Light shopping run with a backpack or small bag

Pricing model

Motorbikes are typically the cheapest GeraRide option per kilometre, with a low base fare and a flat per-kilometre rate in the local currency. Some cities use fixed-price short-trip tariffs for common corridors. Whichever model applies, the all-in price is shown before you confirm.

  • Lowest base fare of any GeraRide ride type
  • Per-kilometre tariff or flat short-trip price, in your local currency
  • No per-minute charge in many markets — best value when traffic is heavy
  • All-in price locked in before you confirm

Specific fares vary by city and time of day. Open the GeraRide app for the live quote in your local currency before you confirm a trip.
