1. Introduction

GeraRide is operated by Gera Systems (registered in England and Wales). These Terms govern use of geraride.com and our mobile applications by passengers, senders, drivers, and couriers.

2. Our Services

GeraRide is a ride-hailing and delivery platform connecting passengers and senders with independent drivers and couriers. GeraRide is an intermediary — drivers are independent contractors, not employees of Gera Systems.

3. Passenger and Sender Terms

Minimum age 18 to create an account and book independently
Provide accurate pick-up and drop-off information
Treat drivers with respect; harassment or abuse results in account suspension
Do not request transportation of illegal goods
In case of emergency during a trip, call your local emergency number immediately

Cancellations: Free cancellation within 2 minutes of booking. Later cancellations may incur a fee (shown in the app before confirmation).

4. Driver and Courier Terms

Drivers and couriers confirm they:

Hold a valid driving licence for their vehicle category
Hold any required local taxi or private hire licence (e.g., TfL licence in London)
Carry valid motor insurance including hire-and-reward coverage
Have consented to and passed background and DBS checks as required
Will maintain their vehicle in roadworthy condition with valid MOT and insurance
Are operating as independent contractors and are responsible for their own tax obligations
Will not accept trips or deliveries while impaired

Driver account suspension may occur for sustained below-average ratings, safety incidents, or regulatory non-compliance.

5. Safety

GeraRide operates an in-app emergency button. All trips are tracked in real time for safety. Drivers and passengers are identified at booking. Incidents should be reported immediately via safety@geraride.com.

6. Payment Terms

Fares calculated by algorithm (distance, time, demand). Payments via Stripe. Driver payouts weekly, less platform commission (shown in Driver Dashboard).

Pricing transparency: The estimated fare is shown before confirmation. Surge pricing applies during high demand and is disclosed before booking.

7. Limitation of Liability

GeraRide is not liable for the actions of independent drivers. Our liability is limited to amounts paid in the prior three months or £50 (whichever is greater). Consumer Rights Act 2015 rights are unaffected.
