This dataset summary is available as machine-readable JSON — including provenance, columns, key figures and a sample of rows — for use by researchers, journalists and AI assistants.

Methodology

Overall (all-gender) pass rate and test volume for each centre are taken verbatim from DVSA table DRT122A (car driving-test pass rates by test centre), parsed from the published ODS file. Centres are ranked highest pass rate first, ties broken by test volume then name so the ranking is deterministic. 317 centres are listed; DVSA excludes centres where only one examiner conducted category-B tests, but those tests still count toward the national totals shown. Figures are provisional per DVSA notes. No figure is estimated and no record is synthesised.

Sample rows
